Message From The Fire Chief

To the residents and visitors of Conover,

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the City of Conover Fire Department webpage. It is an honor to serve the citizens, businesses, and visitors of this great community. Our department has proudly served the City of Conover since 1942, and we remain committed to providing the highest level of public safety to everyone who lives, works, and travels through our city.

The mission of the Conover Fire Department is simple but vital: to protect life, property, and the environment by providing professional emergency services and proactive fire prevention to our community. Our firefighters and staff are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for the people we serve through preparedness, training, and community partnership.

The Conover Fire Department operates three fire stations that provide 24-hour emergency coverage throughout the city and surrounding areas. Each year our department responds to thousands of requests for service, including fire suppression, technical rescue incidents, hazardous materials response, and assistance during medical emergencies. In addition to emergency response, our firefighters actively participate in fire prevention programs, safety inspections, and public education efforts designed to reduce risks and keep our community safe.

Community safety and prevention are a major focus of our department. While our firefighters train and prepare every day to respond to emergencies, we strongly believe that the best emergency is the one that never happens. Through fire safety education, smoke alarm awareness, school programs, and community outreach, we work to help residents understand how to prevent emergencies and protect their families.

I would also like to recognize the dedication and professionalism of the men and women who serve in the Conover Fire Department. Our firefighters work around the clock, often under difficult and dangerous conditions, to protect this community. Their commitment to service, teamwork, and compassion for others is something that makes our department and our city very proud.
